Alex Engelman is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical and construction management. Currently serving as Associate Principal and Associate Practice Area Director at Syska Hennessy Group since July 2012, Engelman has led numerous complex projects, including the NYU Langone Radiation Oncology & Infusion Center and the Kansas City Airport conceptual design. Previous roles include Senior Associate and Senior Engineer, managing multidisciplinary teams on significant projects such as the JFK Terminal 4 Delta Airlines expansion. Earlier experience includes work as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer at Arup, overseeing electrical designs for projects like the Fulton Street Center and the Strata Tower. Engelman's career began as an Engineering Aide and Management Intern at The Port Authority of NY & NJ. Engelman holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union, a Master of Science in Construction Management from New York University, and a high school diploma from Brooklyn Technical High School.
