Ing Lim is the managing director for Syska Hennessy Group’s Shanghai office.
Ing, who joined Syska’s New York team in 1997, opened Syska Shanghai in 2008 in order to bring the firm’s experience and expertise to projects in China and across Asia. Under his leadership, Syska Shanghai has grown strongly and is regarded as one of the premier MEP and commissioning firms for the most challenging buildings in China and beyond.
He provides a deep understanding of international practices and protocols, and is fluent in English, Mandarin and three Chinese dialects, enabling him to lead complex projects with multinational teams. He has managed most of Syska’s complex projects in China, including Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and the Shell research laboratory building in Shanghai. Ing has provided peer reviews for two recent major projects in South Korea: the 6,200,000-sf Hyundai Udong I’Park Complex mixed-use development and the 151-story Incheon Tower.
With more than 28 years of experience, Ing is a seasoned project director, innovative engineering team member and peer reviewer. He has contributed toward the designs of both national and international healthcare, laboratory office, mixed-use and aviation projects, and routinely provides QA/QC and peer reviews of project design to improve the ultimate performance and function of the MEP systems.
Outside the office, Ing enjoys playing table tennis, jogging and fly fishing on occasion.
