Senior Principal at Sysko

As a healthcare practice area leader and senior principal in Syska Hennessy Group’s New York office, Tim Krawetz leads a multi-discipline, multi-office team of over 50 professionals located in the Eastern and Central U.S. as well as Shanghai, China. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design and peer review of hospital and laboratory projects. Tim is passionate about bringing the best engineering solutions to clients so that they can deliver the highest-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes. He’s adept at challenging assumptions during brainstorming sessions, proactively provides clients with guidance counsel, and collaborates closely with owners and design partners to apply innovative design solutions to achieve a better operating environment within budget.

Tim’s notable projects include a sustainable replacement hospital for University Medical Center at Princeton at Plainsboro and the LEED Silver-certified Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks (The Wild Center), which recreates all four seasons of weather inside a single room. Both projects received the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) New York Diamond Engineering Excellence Award, the industry’s highest award.

A graduate of Manhattan College, Tim holds a BS in mechanical engineering. He serves on the New York City Department of Buildings Mechanical Code Committee. Besides engineering, he loves spending time outdoors—hiking, camping, fishing and traveling. Tim once completed an 85-mile back-country hiking and camping trip with his sons in the lower Rocky Mountains.
