Sam Blan

Sam Blan has a diverse range of work experience. In 2011, they worked as a Consultant for K2 Pictures, focusing on acquisitions and development. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions for Inception Media Group, LLC. Following that, they held the role of Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Strategic Film Partners @ Universal from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they became the Head of Film and New Business Development at Agency | 2.0. Simultaneously, they co-founded and served as the CEO of Blak Box Group until 2017. In the same year, they founded Opus V and acted as the CEO until 2018. Additionally, from 2015 to 2017, they played a pivotal role as an Advisory Board Member for the Arab Film Festival. In 2020, they served as the Chief Operating Officer for Potters Cannabis Co. Most recently, since 2021, they have held the position of Head Of New Business Development at ThirtyOne Labs. Lastly, since 2017, Sam has been a Co-Founder, Advisor, and Board Member for System 9, a company specializing in blockchain integrated trading algorithms.

Sam Blan attended Lincoln Park High School from 1995 to 1999, where they earned an International Baccalaureate Degree and took AP and advanced classes. Sam then went on to study at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science and minors in Speech Communication and Computer Science. Sam also had an interest in pre-law studies.
