System Design Evaluation Ltd (SDE) is an independent technology company dedicated to helping organisations make confident, informed decisions about complex systems—whether in the air, on land, at sea, underwater, or in emerging areas such as uncrewed aircraft and advanced vehicles.

While we are well known for our expertise with weapons and explosive-related technologies, our work stretches far beyond that. We support governments and industry partners with clear, impartial advice across a wide range of platforms and capabilities, from next-generation UAVs and specialist vehicles to underwater systems and innovative training programmes.

Our teams bring together deep experience from many disciplines, allowing us to guide clients through development, testing and evaluation, in-service support and eventually safe disposal. Whether shaping high-level strategy or delivering hands-on technical insight for research, procurement, and operations, we ensure that every stage of a system’s journey is understood, informed, and expertly supported.

SDE is proudly accredited to ISO 9001:2015, reflecting our commitment to quality, independence, and trust.
