Katherine Maher

Katherine Maher currently serves as the CEO and President of NPR and holds multiple leadership roles including Board Chair and CEO at Web Summit, and Board Chair at Signal Messenger. Maher is also a Board Director at System Inc., a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. In addition, Maher is a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project, a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations, and previously served as a Senior Advisor at Frame. Maher contributed to the U.S. Department of State as a member of the Foreign Affairs Policy Board. Educational qualifications include a BA with Honors in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from New York University, executive leadership training from the THNK School of Leadership, and intensive Arabic studies from both IFPO Damascus and The American University in Cairo.
