Jeffrey Roach

Jeffrey Roach is a seasoned manager and machine learning scientist with extensive experience in automation, cost reduction, and advanced data modeling. Currently serving as Manager and Machine Learning Scientist at System1 since June 2016, Jeffrey oversaw the automation of bid and budget adjustments affecting significant daily expenditures and achieved substantial savings in cloud costs. Previously, in the role of Lead Machine Learning Scientist, Jeffrey pioneered the development of a Reinforcement Algorithm for production and contributed to the open sourcing of the advertising simulation environment, AdCraft. As a Data Scientist, Jeffrey enhanced a time series model performance and optimized training efficiency using Fastai and PyTorch. Jeffrey's foundational experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Galvanize Inc. and roles at the Knox County Health Department, where responsibilities included coordinating vaccination clinics and partnering with epidemiologists. Jeffrey holds a Master's Degree in Epidemiology from Loma Linda University and a BS in Biology from La Sierra University.
