Mark Gainsford

Mark Gainsford is currently the Vice President of Business Development at Systematic Australia Pty Ltd, based in Canberra. With extensive experience in national security and defense, Mark previously served as the Lead for Defence & National Security at Palantir Technologies from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, Mark held various leadership roles at Cisco from 2014 to 2015, including Senior Manager of Cisco Consultancy Services and Strategy & Business Development Lead for Cisco Defence ANZ. Mark's professional journey began with a distinguished career as an Army Officer in the Australian Army from 1986 to 2010, where they managed transformational change and oversaw critical ICT initiatives. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Management from the Australian Defence Force Academy, a Masters of Management Studies in Project Management from the University of New South Wales - Defence Academy, and a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from the University of Southern Queensland.
