Bob Elsey has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Bob started their career in 2007 as an Electricians Mate in the US Navy, specializing in nuclear power. After leaving the Navy in 2011, they joined Systems Control in 2013 as a Testing Technician Co-op, where they verified the correct operation of relay panels and equipment enclosures for electrical utilities. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of EE Co-op at the same company, where they worked on building relay control panels and equipment enclosures. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of Project Manager, overseeing engineering projects. In 2018, they became a Project Engineer, responsible for managing various projects. Currently, they hold the position of P&C Engineer, starting in April 2021.
Bob Elsey earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. In November 2017, they obtained an Engineer In Training certification from NCEES.
