Melissa Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Melissa started their career in 2000 as a Satellite Systems Technician in the United States Air Force. Melissa then served in various roles within the Air Force, including NCS Manager/Training Resource Manager and Overhead Collection Manager/Constellation Outage Manager. In 2006, they joined General Dynamics as a Project Specialist/Business Management. Melissa later worked at Avonlea Services, LLC as an Inside Sales and Projects professional. From 2009 to 2012, they were employed at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the Administration department. Melissa Barnes currently holds a position at Systems Plus, Inc., having worked their way up from Service Delivery Manager to Director, Service Delivery, and is presently serving as the Vice President, Service Delivery. Their responsibilities at Systems Plus include managing strategic management, technology, and engineering solutions for various clients in both defense and civilian agencies.
Melissa Barnes obtained their Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from American InterContinental University between 2007 and 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer and Information Technology at the University of Maryland Global Campus and completed it from 2011 to 2014.
