David Hammel

David Hammel has a diverse work experience in the finance and technology industry. David started their career in 2002 as a University Sandwich Placement, where they worked as a Resourcer & Internet Marketeer at Syntax Consultancy Ltd. In 2005, they joined SystemsAccountants as a Client Services Director, specializing in providing advisory and systems evaluation services in finance systems, ERP, EPM, BI, Analytics, and Cloud technologies. David held this position for over 12 years until March 2018. From March 2018 to the present, Hammel has been the UK Managing Director at SystemsAccountants, focusing on providing resourcing and staffing solutions to clients, particularly in the areas of accounting, finance technology, project management, change management, and finance transformation. Additionally, starting from May 2020, Hammel took on the role of AI Client Services Director at Kanbina. In this position, they lead the global business development and client services practice, helping companies achieve hyperautomation of their core financial processes through Kanbina's Finance AI and Machine Learning platform, resulting in improved finance data extraction accuracy, reduced manual reconciliation workload, and lower finance processing costs.

David Hammel's education history begins in 2000 when they enrolled at Nottingham Trent University. David pursued a Bachelor of Arts (hons) degree in Business Studies and Management and completed their studies in 2004. Following this, in 2004-2005, David attended the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where they obtained a diploma in Business and Spanish.

Most recently, in 2020, David attended the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and earned a Level 3 Award in Wines.
