T J Evers is a trusted, privately-owned building contractor with over 100 years of experience delivering high-quality construction projects across East Anglia and Outer London.

Established in 1918 and based in Tiptree, we’ve built a strong reputation for being reliable, honest, and easy to work with. We take on a wide variety of projects – from small refurbishments to large-scale new builds – across sectors including commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, public, and ecclesiastical.

Our team of over 100 directly employed professionals is at the heart of what we do. We bring together deep industry knowledge with a modern, forward-thinking approach. Working closely with clients, we aim to deliver well-built, efficient, and cost-effective solutions without overcomplicating things.

We’re fully committed to using modern construction techniques and digital tools that help us build smarter and faster – while also keeping environmental impact in check. From off-site construction methods to energy-efficient materials, we’re always looking for ways to build better and more sustainably.

We also offer in-house expertise through Ampwood Solutions, our joinery and electrical division. They deliver high-quality, bespoke joinery projects as well as full electrical design and installation services – including solar PV, EV charging, and energy storage systems (EESS).

With a proud history and a clear eye on the future, T J Evers continues to deliver quality projects built on trust, innovation, and long-term value.
