Timothy Root

Timothy Root serves as a Public Safety Account Executive for T-Mobile, focusing on enhancing 5G service and solutions for Ohio's Public Safety agencies since July 2024. Prior to this role, Root achieved the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from May 1993 to December 1998, gaining experience in various capacities, including as a Marksmanship Instructor and Security Forces. From October 2008 to July 2024, Root advanced through the Ohio State Highway Patrol, culminating in a leadership position as Commander of the Columbus Vehicle Theft & Fraud Unit, where responsibilities included investigating vehicle and identity crimes in collaboration with multiple agencies. Educational credentials include a degree in Business Administration and Management from Franklin University, degrees in English and Economics from Campbell University, and specialized training in Fusion Center Leadership from the Naval Postgraduate School.
