In February 2006, founder/editor Marcia Gagliardi launched tablehopper, a weekly newsletter that quickly became an established insider resource for the latest restaurant and bar news in San Francisco. Every Tuesday, subscribers receive a highly curated column full of scoops, hot tips, restaurant industry chatter, food and wine events, international travel guides, SF culture and lifestyle stories, and exclusive looks into the tablehopper collection of vintage SF ephemera.

Gagliardi’s influential column offers an insider’s perspective on the San Francisco culinary scene, and is avidly read by a loyal following of both dining-obsessed consumers and the food and beverage industry. Her well-seasoned perspective is shaped by deep knowledge and context: Marcia has lived in San Francisco since 1994, and has been writing about food and restaurants since 2002. Her personal and snappy writing, on-the-ground reporting, and deeply supportive ethos helped build a vibrant community of dedicated subscribers who depend upon tablehopper as a trusted independent voice and resource.

Subscribe at tablehopper.com and live your best SF life. Subscribers receive the weekly newsletter and get full access to the website and archive (with over 12,000 articles), plus special insider quarterly articles (The Hopper Notebook), like Marcia’s top sushi spots, or her favorite places to eat at now. Additional subscription perks include a free customized restaurant recommendation, giveaways, and first dibs on tickets to tablehopper events.

The 19-year-old tablehopper column was voted “Most Obsessive Restaurant Informant” by 7x7 magazine; San Francisco magazine’s Best of the Bay Area 2008–2011: Reader’s Choice for “Best Scoop on Food,” “Best e-newsletter,” and “Best Email Action”; Best Local Source for Food Porn for the SF Weekly Web Awards (2011); and Best Food/Drinks Blog or Site for the San Francisco Bay Guardian Best of the Bay 2011–2013 Readers Poll.
