Nicholas Smith

Nicholas Smith is an experienced manager and scientist in the field of flow cytometry and immunology. Currently serving as the Manager of Flow Cytometry at Taconic Biosciences since February 2022, Nicholas previously held the position of Senior Scientist at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University, where extensive research focused on human cytomegalovirus infection and latency. Prior postdoctoral roles were completed at Brigham and Women's Hospital, investigating Epstein-Barr virus latency using CRISPR/CAS9 and TMT proteomics, and at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, culminating in a PhD dissertation on the role of Epstein-Barr virus gp350 in T-cell dynamics. Education includes a PhD in Immunology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a BA in Biology from the University of Vermont.
