David Donofrio

David Donofrio is a seasoned hardware architect with extensive experience in the field of computer engineering. Currently serving as Chief Hardware Architect at Tactical Computing Laboratories since September 2019, David previously held significant roles such as Group Lead for the Computer Architecture Group at Berkeley Lab, where contributions focused on enhancing performance, scalability, and energy efficiency of supercomputers. Earlier experience includes a position as Senior Hardware Performance Analyst at Apple, overseeing system performance for Mac computers, and as a Computer Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where David analyzed performance for future high-performance computing systems. David began a career at Intel as a Graphics Architect and also gained foundational experience as a Co-op Student at GE Fanuc. David Donofrio obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
