Sam Ebert has over two decades of experience in education and GIS, currently serving as Team Leader for Infrastructure, Civil, Mining, and Surveying at TAFE NSW since March 2010, where management includes leading a team of educators in various disciplines. Ebert previously held the position of Head of Department for Spatial and Surveying, fostering strong industry relationships for effective student training across Australia, and also has experience developing teaching resources and assessing distance-education students in GIS. Prior roles include GIS Manager for the North East Region at the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment and GIS Analyst at CSIRO specializing in environmental economics. Ebert holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Environmental Science from James Cook University and an Associate Diploma in Geoscience from Canberra TAFE.
