Founded by three childhood friends in 2013, Tagu Films is an independent film production company based in Yangon, Myanmar. We tell authentic, locally grounded stories through documentaries and short films created and produced by Myanmar filmmakers. Our team includes award-winning creatives with international experience who are committed to powerful, character-driven visual storytelling.

Over the years, Tagu Films has grown into a broader creative production company under the banner of Tagu Productions, now working across three key areas:

Tagu Films – Our original arm, producing independent documentaries and films that reflect the social and cultural realities of Myanmar.

Tagu Music – Launched in 2023, this platform supports and promotes Myanmar’s independent music scene through flagship programs like Tagu Jams.

Tagu Films Services – Our commissioned work division collaborates with INGOs, NGOs, cultural institutions, and corporate partners to produce high-quality films, videos, and media content tailored to their missions and audiences.
