Laura Basile

Laura Basile has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Laura currently holds the position of Head of Legal for Group Life and Investments at TAL Australia since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at BT as a Practice Leader in their legal department from March 2019 to February 2023. Before that, they held various legal roles at TAL Australia from January 2015 to February 2019. Laura also worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at AMP from April 2011 to January 2015. Laura started their career as a Lawyer at ASIC from January 2008 to March 2011. Laura also gained experience as a Legal Officer at the Workplace Authority and as a Consultant at Macquarie Group. Laura began their legal career as a Paralegal at the Australian Government Solicitor from 2003 to 2006.

Laura Basile earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Asian Studies from The Australian National University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2006. Laura later pursued a Masters of Applied Finance degree at Macquarie University starting in 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Chinese Language Certificate from Beijing Language and Culture University in 2006.
