Matthew Chae has had a diverse range of work experiences in the actuarial field.
Matthew started their career in 2006 at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated, where they held the role of Senior Actuarial Analyst until 2011.
Matthew then joined CommInsure as a Wholesale Risk Valuation Actuary until September 2012.
From September to December 2012, they worked as an Actuary (Contract) at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated.
In 2013, they had two roles as a Capital Management Actuary at Prudential Hong Kong (January to September) and as an Assistant Individual Risk Actuary at TAL Australia (October to April).
From 2014 to 2017, they served as a Group Reporting Actuary at Munich Re (Group).
Matthew then moved on to Suncorp Group, where they worked as a Senior Actuary Valuations Manager from 2017 to 2019.
Finally, they returned to TAL Australia in 2019 and has held two positions there: Head of Individual Risk Asteron Life (March 2019 to May 2021) and currently as the Head of Actuarial - Individual Risk.
Matthew Chae is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (FIAA). Matthew also attended Newington College and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from UNSW, majoring in Actuarial Science and Finance.
