Cyber Threat Analyst at Talion

Mitchell Mellard has been working in cyber security since 2015. Mitchell began their career at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, where they held the roles of Principal Threat Intelligence Analyst, Cyber Security SME, and Cyber Security Analyst. In 2020, they moved to Talion, where they currently work as a Cyber Threat Analyst. In their role as Cyber Security SME, they lead a team of security analysts, managing their time and assignments, and providing knowledge transfer. As a Cyber Security Analyst, they monitor and analyses Intrusion Detection Systems, Anomaly Detection Systems, Firewall event logs, and Security Incident and Event Management toolset event logs to identify security attacks and threats for remediation/suppression. Mitchell also assists in Computer Security Incident Response activities for large organisations.

Mitchell Mellard began their educational journey at Eckington Comprehensive School, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Mitchell then attended Eckington 6th Form from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they began their Master's Degree in Game and Interactive Media Design at Sheffield Hallam University, which they completed in 2014. In April 2017, Mitchell obtained a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from the SANS Institute.
