Shelane Barrett

Shelane Barrett has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In their current role as Vice President of Business Development at FURTHER, which they started in February 2022, they are responsible for developing and expanding the company's business opportunities.

Before joining FURTHER, Shelane worked at A Place for Mom as a Senior National Account Manager from June 2021 to February 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Regional Director of Sales at Frontier Management, LLC from October 2020 to June 2021.

Shelane has a long history with A Place for Mom, where they held various positions. Shelane started as an Eldercare Advisor in August 2007 and gradually progressed within the company. Shelane served as a Partner Development Manager from September 2013 to January 2017, overseeing market growth and partnering with new and existing clients. Shelane then worked as a Partner Account Manager from January 2017 to May 2018, maintaining relationships with partners and ensuring their success. Finally, they held the role of National Account Manager from May 2018 to October 2020, where they focused on managing accounts and maintaining a database of senior living companies.

Before their tenure at A Place for Mom, Shelane worked as the Director of Community Relations at Sunrise Senior Living from March 2005 to August 2007. Prior to that, they held sales positions at Southern Wine & Spirits and Pacific Wine and Spirits.

Shelane's early career includes working as a Trade Show Coordinator at Ty, Inc. from 1998 to 2000.

Shelane Barrett obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa between 1994 and 1998. In 2011, they attended the Chicago Real Estate Institute and became a licensed real estate broker. Most recently, in 2020, they completed an Emerging Leaders Certificate program at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
