Alexander Kavanaugh has a diverse work experience, primarily in the technology sector. Alexander started their career as a Youth Sailing Instructor at South Bay Sailing in 2010. In 2011, they joined California Polytechnic State University where they held multiple roles, including Program Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Network Technician. During their time there, they gained experience in web application development using Python and Django, project management, and network hardware management.

In 2013, they became the Chief Technology Officer at ZenVideoCloud, where they led the full-stack development of a fitness class platform. Alexander was responsible for AWS deployment, Python/Django development, and jQuery implementation.

From 2015 to present, Kavanaugh has been an Open Source Maintainer for dj-stripe, contributing to the development and maintenance of this open-source library.

In 2016, they founded their own company, Kavanaugh Development, LLC, where they served as the Founder.

Alexander also served as the Chief Executive Officer and later as the Chief Technology Officer at PolyRents from 2016 to 2017. During their tenure, they built a scalable SaaS application, set up a CI/CD pipeline, and formed technical partnerships with third-party solutions.

In 2016, Kavanaugh joined Motimatic as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Technical Lead. In this role, they designed and architected different areas of the platform, conducted sprint planning and review sessions, and managed the engineering and design teams.

Alexander joined Talkmap in 2019 as a Senior Software Architect. Alexander'sresponsibilities included bringing Agile processes and Software Engineering best practices to the engineering team, architecting and building key components of the Cognition Platform, and ongoing architecture and development of new features and services.

In 2019 and 2022, Kavanaugh held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Roopairs Technologies, Inc. and SLOeats respectively.

Alexander Kavanaugh attended Rolling Hills Country Day School from 1998 to 2007. After completing high school, they then enrolled at Bishop Montgomery High School, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Finally, Alexander pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2011 to 2016.
