Chris Powell has held various positions in the Human Resources field since 1990. Chris began their career as a Field Sales Manager at Ford Motor Company in 1990. In 1993, they moved to Northwestern University as an Assistant Director of Admissions. In 1994, they joined Deloitte as a Recruiting Manager. In 1996, they became Director of Staffing & Development at Marriott International. In 2001, they were promoted to VP of Human Resources at ING (now Voya). In 2007, they were promoted again to Executive VP of Human Resources (CHRO) at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc (Acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.). In 2014, they became the CEO of Talmetrix, Inc., where they work to humanize employee and organizational data to elevate performance and productivity.
Chris Powell attended Northwestern University, but did not receive a degree. In 2009, they completed the Cable Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School's Executive Education program.
