Carolin Basilowski is dedicated to fostering a high-trust, collaborative community in EU AI governance, grounded in strong epistemics and evidence. They previously held positions such as Don Lavoie Fellow at the Mercatus Center and AI Safety Retreat Organizer with the Long-Term Future Fund. In 2023, Carolin served as the EAGxBerlin Team Lead, overseeing a conference for around 590 participants. They also have experience as an intern at the German Federal Ministry of Finance and as a research assistant at the University of Mannheim. Carolin holds degrees in Economics from both the University of Mannheim and the Toulouse School of Economics.
