Andy Palmer is the Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO at Tamr. Andy has over 20 years of experience in founding and leading companies in the software industry.

Prior to Tamr, Andy was a BOD member at EDB from June 2019 to June 2022. Andy co-founded the company with Mike Stonebraker and was responsible for recruiting the team, acquiring first customers and partners, driving significant revenue growth, and raising $23M+ from leading venture capital firms.

Before EDB, Andy was at Carta. Prior to that, they were at Tamr, Koa Labs, Kinsa, Openbay, and Upstart Network. At Upstart Network, Andy was a founding BOD member from January 2012 to December 2019. Andy provided counsel and advice to Founders Dave Girouard, Anna Counselman, and Paul Gu from concept through start-up, funding, and launch. Investors include First Round Capital, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, Kleiner Perkins, Google Ventures, Eric Schmidt, Marc Benioff, Scott Banister, Joe Liemandt, and Mark Cuban. Advisors include Bob Kerry and Jessica Jackley.

In addition to their work at startups, Andy has also been a seed investor at Evergage from October 2011 to September 2019 and a founding BOD member at Recorded Future from April 2009 to January 2019.

Andy Palmer's educational career began with a BA in English, Andy'story, and Computer Science from Bowdoin College. Andy then attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for their MBA in General Management. After working for a few years, they became a Research Affiliate in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
