In 2020, the Japanese lens manufacturer Tamron celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding. 

Back in 1950, it was originally established as Taisei Optical Equipment Manufacturing. Since then, the company has continuously developed and engineered a wide range of lenses and optical components with perseverance and dedication, creating many revolutionary technologies and original products along the way.

Tamron will continue to develop groundbreaking new products for a wide range of applications, as e.g. surveillance cameras, factory automation, machine vision, automotive vision, drone vision and medical cameras. 

In the run-up to its 70th anniversary, Tamron has revised its corporate mission and goals with a view to the future.
