Sameer Khairkar

Sameer Khairkar has been working in the field of Information Security since 2014. Sameer started their career as a Technical Support Engineer at Infosys in 2014. Sameer then moved to Tech Mahindra Business Services as a Technical Support Advisor in 2015 and Wipro as a Technical Support Analyst in 2016. In 2016, they also worked as an Operations Management Trainee at Amazon Services. In 2017, Sameer worked as an Intern at DHL Global Forwarding and Amadeus IT Group. At Amadeus IT Group, they supported the Security and Standards Manager in implementing and tracking the ISMS framework based on ISO 27001 across the business unit. Sameer then moved to Wirecard in 2018 as a Global Lead Information Security Governance and Compliance and Compliance Manager. In 2020, they joined Accenture as an Information Security and Risk Consultant. Most recently, Sameer joined Railsbank in 2021 as a Senior Project Manager : Information Security and Tangany GmbH in 2022 as Head Of Information Security / Information Security Officer.

Sameer Khairkar received their Master of Business Administration - MBA in International Business from IU International University of Applied Sciences between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur between 2009 and 2014. Sameer also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Telecommunications from Priyadarshini College Engineering and Architecture, Nagpur between 2009 and 2014. Sameer received a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management between 2005 and 2009, as well as a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications from Anjuman Polytechnic, Nagpur between 2005 and 2009. Sameer attended Bishop Cotton between 2003 and 2005 and Modern school between 1999 and 2002. Sameer has also obtained additional certifications, such as Moving to the Cloud from Accenture in March 2021, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification from BSI in April 2019, and Internal Security Assesor from PCI SSC.
