Torry Crass is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the CISO for the Public Sector at Tanium since April 2025. Crass co-chairs BSIDES CHARLOTTE, promoting cybersecurity education through conferences and training opportunities. As an adjunct instructor at The Citadel, Crass has contributed to the National Guard Cyber Boot Camp sessions since 2021. Previous positions include State Chief Risk Officer for the State of North Carolina and Agency CISO for the N.C. State Board of Elections, alongside roles at Associated Universities, LEO Cyber Security, and SPX Corporation. Crass holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from The University of Kansas.
