Lorenz Hetzel

Lorenz Hetzel is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO at Tanso, where efforts are focused on creating a decarbonization platform for a sustainable future. Prior to this role, Hetzel was a Software Engineer at Amazon, significantly enhancing the returns experience for customers, resulting in over 10 million EUR annual impact. As a Research Assistant at ETH Zürich, Hetzel contributed to academic research with a published paper at NeurIPS 2019 and developed a distributed hyperparameter optimization framework. Additionally, Hetzel has experience as a Design Engineer at BMW Group, where integration of infotainment systems into prototype vehicles was a key function.
