Thomas Bleier

Thomas Bleier has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Thomas started their career in 1995 as a Technical Consultant at Thomas Bleier Technical Consulting. Thomas then worked as a Project Manager and Technical Consultant at Fabasoft from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they joined AIT - Austrian Institute of Technology as a Program Manager ICT Security and worked there until 2015. During this time, they also served as a Senior Security Architect and Teamlead Security Professional Services at T-Systems Austria from 2015 to 2016. From 2012 onwards, they have been working as a Security Trainer/Lecturer at various institutions including FH Wiener Neustadt, FH Campus Wien, OVE Akademie, TÜV Austria Akademie, and Incite. Thomas held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Tapkey GmbH from 2016 to an unspecified date. Thomas also worked as an ISO 27001 Auditor at CIS - Certification & Information Security Services GmbH since 2015. In 2018, they became the Chair of MR 65 Industrial Automation & Control Systems Security Working Group at OVE (Austrian Electrotechnical Association). Additionally, they have been a Sworn and court certified expert for IT and data security, encryption, and building automation in Austria since 2019. Most recently, they have been working as the Chief Security Improvement Officer and Managing Director at B-SEC better secure KG since 2016.

Thomas Bleier completed their education in a chronological order. Thomas attended HTL Wr. Neustadt from 1989 to 1994, where they studied Computer Science and Business Administration. From 1995 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at Technische Universität Wien. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they obtained another MSc degree, this time in Information Security Management, from Danube-University Krems.
