taproot is a community consultancy that works across the UK. 

We support organisations and systems to make equitable, well-informed decisions, particularly when issues are complex, sensitive or stuck.  

We work for social change that is impactful, sustained and rooted in greater equity. At the heart of our approach is inclusive, structured decision-making. We believe that how decisions are made shapes trust, relationships and long-term impact.

Our work spans strategic planning, organisational and systems change, facilitation, mentorship, evaluation and learning. We work with voluntary and community organisations, public services and cross-sector partnerships to support decision making at all levels, from single teams and boards to whole systems. 

We are known for building warm relationships to hold us while navigating complex and difficult conversations with clear structure and trusted facilitation.

We form collaborative relationships with our clients, gather and synthesise high quality data and lived experience, and design spaces where people with all kinds of expertise can debate, learn, and agree ways forward together. 

We also support teams who drive social change to build capacity and resilience, through work such as team reviews, away days and reflective learning processes. 

We are based in Cambridge and work nationally.
