Melody Caron and her husband, Steve Tapley, moved to Steve's grandparents farm near Brunkild, Manitoba in 2021.  Melody and Steve have begun their own venture into grain farming which has provided them the opportunity to pursue TapRoot Research Ltd. on the farm. TapRoot Research Ltd. was formed with the core values and beliefs to support local growers and to work with government, industry and academia to advance Canadian agriculture.

Research services provided by TapRoot Research Ltd include replicated or non-replicated small plots for variety registration, label expansion, product registration or screening of common pests.  Outside of small plots, TapRoot Research Ltd offers breeder plots for variety registration or seed multiplication and field scale trials for product comparison.  TapRoot Research Ltd offers consulting services for any other type of agronomic research objectives and registration of crop protection products in Canada.
