James West has extensive experience in subsea systems, currently serving as the Subsea Systems Technical Authority at TAQA Group since October 2020. This role followed the transfer of operatorship of the Brae Assets from RockRose Energy, where James also held the position of Subsea Systems Technical Authority from July 2019 to October 2020. Prior to that, James worked at Marathon Oil Corporation for over 13 years, progressing through roles including Lead Subsea Engineer and Advanced Subsea Controls Engineer. James began a career in subsea engineering at Aker Solutions from 1999 to 2004 as a Subsea Controls Engineer. James is an alumnus of Felsted School.
