Matt Eales is an experienced executive specializing in regulatory affairs, environmental health and safety, and sustainability within the energy sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Targa Resources since October 2022, Matt is responsible for supporting acid gas and injection wells, including permitting and the development of Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) plans. Previously, Matt held various leadership roles, including Vice President of EHSR at Lucid Energy Group, where contributions were made to legislative efforts in New Mexico. Matt also developed Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs at Rubicon Oilfield International and Permian Resources, and played significant roles at Chesapeake Energy and Schlumberger, focusing on compliance assurance and quality management systems. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Kansas.
