Tom Meriwether

Tom Meriwether is the Deputy General Counsel at Targa Resources, a position held since June 2013, where responsibilities include advising on transactions related to Targa's midstream business, specifically focusing on commercial legal matters in natural gas liquids and coastal gathering and processing. Prior to Targa, Tom served as Associate General Counsel and Senior Counsel at Vinson & Elkins LLP, providing legal assistance in environmental litigation and compliance. Tom's judicial experience includes a role as Law Clerk to Judge Sim Lake at the United States District Court. Earlier in career, Tom worked as a Senior Consultant at Trinity Consultants, specializing in Clean Air Act compliance and permitting. Tom holds a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
