Michael R. DeChellis-Marks, PhD, is currently the Manager of Scientific Programs at Target ALS, focusing on advancing ALS research in collaboration with academic and industry partners. Previously, they served as a PhD Candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where their dissertation explored neurodegenerative disorders and novel genetic correction therapies. In addition to their research experience, they worked as a Grant Writer and a Patent Technical Specialist, contributing to various initiatives in clinical and translational research. With a strong background in neuroscience, they hold both a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in History & Philosophy of Science, both earned Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh.
