Amal Abdussalam is a Lead AI Scientist at Target, leveraging ten years of expertise in data science to deliver impactful solutions across various domains, including Retail, Energy & Utilities, Manufacturing, and Healthcare. Since 2022, Amal has led cross-functional collaborations to design advanced data-driven models for personalized marketing offers, while overseeing multiple teams and key products. Previously, Amal served as Lead Decision Scientist at Tesco, where they developed frameworks to quantify promotional effectiveness and optimize sales forecasting. Amal began their career at Wipro as a Data Scientist, focusing on improving algorithm transparency and decision-making processes. They hold a Master’s degree in Data Science and Analytics from Vellore Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Farook College.
