Carol Nelson

Carol Nelson, MBA, serves as the Lead Data Governance Analyst at Target, where responsibilities include establishing the governance strategy for the Enterprise Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Center of Excellence and transitioning to a new enterprise metadata tool called dataPortal. With extensive experience in data quality, project management, and HR data management, Carol has held various roles at Target since 2002, including Scrum Master and Product Owner for data warehouse projects. Additional experience includes serving as Treasurer for the VFW Auxiliary Post 5555 and working as a part-time bartender. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas and a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
