Colin Barquist

Dr. Colin Barquist is a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Target. Previously, they served as a Principal Data Scientist at Capillary Technologies, where they specialized in machine learning, data engineering, and software architecture. With over two years of data science experience, Dr. Barquist has worked extensively with diverse data sources and tools in production environments and has a strong foundation in communication derived from teaching physics. They hold a PhD in physics from the University of Florida, where their research focused on microelectromechanical devices and quantum phenomena, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
