Daniel Vassar REHS is currently the Enterprise Food Safety Program Lead at Target, a position held since 2014 after transitioning from a public sector food safety career. Beginning in 2013 as an internal auditor for food safety, they quickly advanced to Lead and expanded their scope to encompass the entire enterprise. Daniel's expertise is rooted in experience with various regulatory agencies, which has informed their ability to enhance food safety and quality programs at Target. Prior to this, Daniel worked in multiple roles in public health, including as an Environmental Health Specialist and an Epidemiology and Environmental Health Inspector. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota.
