Ethan Sommer is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and cloud systems. Currently serving as Director of Technology for Asset Protection at Target since November 2015, Ethan leads teams focused on developing innovative full stack tools, video streaming solutions, and machine learning applications for computer vision. Prior roles at Target include Director of Technology for Asset Protection and Corporate Security, and Director of Technology for Asset Protection and Legal Affairs, along with leading efforts in Container as a Service engineering. Previously, Ethan was Engineering Manager at Code 42 Software, overseeing cloud systems, and held leadership positions at Gustavus Adolphus College and IBM Corporation. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Carleton College.
