Francois Barnard

Francois Barnard is an accomplished cybersecurity expert with extensive experience in risk and compliance management. Currently serving as Director of Cybersecurity at Target since April 2016, Francois leads a team to ensure SOX compliance within a modern microservices architecture. Previously, Francois held key positions at MorganFranklin Consulting, AOL, Grant Thornton, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Standard Bank, and KPMG, focusing on IT audits, internal controls, and the implementation of IT governance frameworks. François holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and multiple degrees in accounting from the University of Pretoria, reflecting a solid foundation in both technology and finance.
