Ian de Silva

Ian De Silva is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies, currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Target since October 2019. Prior to this, Ian worked as a Senior Software Developer at Best Buy, where significant contributions were made to enhance the e-commerce platform. Ian's background also includes teaching positions at the University of Minnesota, instructing graduate-level courses on Quality Assurance and Process Improvement, and coaching students in Agile and Lean methodologies. Additionally, Ian has held various engineering roles at IBM and FPX, developing RESTful services, improving software quality, and creating innovative tools. Ian holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
