Mekhala Vithala

Mekhala Vithala is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Target since May 2022, Mekhala focuses on creating frameworks for platform engineers while managing a team that supports over 50 iOS engineers developing the Target app. As the founder and iOS engineer at Playground, Mekhala is dedicated to inspiring young engineers. Prior roles include Senior Manager II in Software Engineering at Sam's Club, where leadership of the Conversational AI team led to the creation of tools like Ask Sam, and significant positions at Bottle Rocket and Allegro Development, where various engineering and management roles were undertaken.
