Shannon Schultz is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in data engineering and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Data Engineering at Target since March 2025, Shannon's prior tenure at Discover spanned 18 years, during which roles included Sr. Director of AI/ML Platform Engineering and Director of Enterprise Platform Strategy, among others. Shannon began a career at Stats Perform as a Software Engineer and previously worked as a Systems Engineer for the University of Illinois System. Academically, Shannon completed the Executive Education Women's Leadership Program at Yale School of Management and earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University.
