Marcus Jacob

Marcus Jacob currently serves as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at TARGOBANK, overseeing legal divisions, the Board Office, and data protection/IT security since March 2020. Additionally, Marcus is a member of the Executive Committee and has held the role of Chief Compliance Officer on an interim basis. Prior to TARGOBANK, experience includes a directorial position at LBBW focusing on capital markets and securities, as well as leadership in compliance at Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank. Earlier roles at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG involved managing legal and compliance functions, along with significant contributions in corporate law, M&A, and distressed loans. Initial legal career stages began as Senior Legal Counsel at COREALCREDIT BANK AG and as a trainee in state internship, supplemented by academic qualifications from the University of Cologne and completion of the bar exam in North Rhine-Westphalia.
