Senior Rust Engineer - Protocol development at Tari

Brian Pearce has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. Brian began their career at Thought Shop Creative Inc. as a Junior Software Engineer before taking on a similar role at Church OS. In 2010, they joined Vidigami as a Junior Software Developer, where they developed new system features using Ruby on Rails and maintained front end HTML/CSS. In 2011, they moved to Attendease as a Junior Software Engineer and maintained and expanded existing client projects with Rails and JavaScript frameworks. Brian then joined Unbounce in 2013 as a Software Engineer and acted as the technical lead for service projects and customer-facing features. In 2017, they joined Retail Zipline as an Information Security Officer and Software Engineer, where they guided Information Security best practices, defined internal SLAs, and triaged and resolved security issues. Brian then moved to Ambit in 2018 as a Software Engineer, engaging mobile teams in feature spec development and planning. Finally, in 2022, they joined Tari Labs as a Senior Rust Engineer - Protocol Development, where they are responsible for developing the Tari protocol with Rust.

Brian Pearce attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2011, where they studied Web Application Software Development and Applied Web Development. Brian also attended McKenzie College of Art and Design from 2005 to 2006, where they studied Graphic Design & Digital Media.
