Stephen Sherratt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.
Starting in 2011, Stephen worked as a Research Assistant at NICTA, where they focused on various embedded systems projects, including the design and assembly of a device for remotely power-cycling development boards. Stephen also wrote a program to control the device.
In 2014, Stephen worked as a Developer at Shodogg for a brief period.
From 2015 to 2017, Stephen was a Research Engineer at CSIRO's Data61, where they contributed to the Trustworthy Systems group. Stephen primarily worked on a user-level operating system framework for the seL4 microkernel, focusing on developing a python tool for generating C and assembly code for component communication.
In 2017, Stephen joined Jane Street as a Software Developer. Their role involved working on infrastructure for scheduling the downloading of reports, normalizing their contents, and storing them in a database to comply with regulations for trading activities.
Stephen then moved to Ghost Locomotion in 2020, where they worked as a Software Engineer.
Currently, Stephen is a Software Engineer at Tarides, starting in 2022.
Throughout their career, Stephen has also gained teaching experience, serving as a part-time Tutor for computer science courses at UNSW during their undergraduate studies from 2011 to 2014.
Stephen Sherratt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UNSW. Stephen attended UNSW from 2010 to 2014.
