Most automation projects fail before they start because no one questioned whether the process was worth automating.

TaskSmith is a business automation company based in Australia. We work with SMBs to eliminate the manual, high-friction operational work that costs tens of hours a week, but we don't start by writing code. We start by understanding your process: why it exists, how it fits your wider operations, and whether it's actually the best version of itself. Then we determine what should be automated, what should be redesigned, and what should be cut entirely.

From there, implementation takes whatever form the problem demands. ERP integrations, legacy API connectors, custom-built APIs, intelligent document processing, or GUI automation. Often a combination.

We've built systems that automatically extract and enter customer purchase orders directly into ERP after a human approval step — handling 100,000+ part variations including custom and revised parts. We've built receiving platforms that process scanned delivery dockets, classify material types, match to POs and stock codes, handle consignment and client-owned material, and route exceptions — while letting warehouse staff communicate edge cases to the system using the handwritten codes they already use.

The technical work is only half of it. We support businesses through the operational and change-management side of adoption, because automation that people don't trust or don't use is just expensive software.
